REVIEW: TOKIN TACOS- HIGHLY HUNGRY EDIBLE & INFUSIONS

Last week, while ordering dinner and I ran across a place called Highly Hungry. I found on Instagram. Low and behold, they were definitely an infused eatery (YASSSSSSS!!) so I decided to place an order this past weekend. Now, you have to keep in mind that cannabis isn’t legal in Texas yet so their ordering process is a bit different. This is to ensure security (avoid the OPPS) and that the customer is “flower-friendly” which is MORE THAN UNDERSTANDABLE! I began the ordering process by texting one number that was available on their website and after confirming some information about myself, I began to place my order by texting another number. I kinda wished that process was a little more streamlined but it wasn’t completely unbearable. Their menu included southern classics such as oxtails, fried chicken and collard greens. Other offerings included burgers and seafood as well as desserts and edibles. They also had a separate menu for flower and I was able to pick a strain to be used for my dish. The DOPEST thing about all of this is that you can order every dish INFUSED or NOT. I decided to order the infused chicken and shrimp Tokin Tacos.

One of their friendly associates dropped off my food and quickly spoke with me about my order. She advised I start off with eating one taco and to wait about 30 minutes before consuming another taco. She advised that I honor my own tolerance level which to me shows excellent customer service and that she cares about the consumer. Now, I’m a person who can be very... particular, especially when it comes to my food and it’s presentation. I was already impressed because the staff was caring enough to discuss my order with me. I received my order in a sealed black bag with their logo branded in gold across the front. My order came with 4 tacos which were packaged neatly in a plastic reusable container (and it will be reused 🙂). More importantly— Let’s talk about flavor! One word: Incredible! I mean, seriously. To have ordered my meal so late in the evening, my food was still fresh. The shrimp and chicken were succulent and flavorful. This made it difficult to only eat one initially but safety first, so I ate one taco and waited 30 minutes, as advised. After eating one taco, I felt okay to try another. Around 15-20 minutes after eating my second taco, I could feel feelings of euphoria and relaxation. All in all, I give this place a rating of PRETTI DOPE! I’ll be ordering again from them really soon and I HIGHLY recommend giving them a try if you haven’t already!!
